Beryllium -Before We Were
Beryllium, "Before We Were", is an art project that I decided to commit to creating because I was inspired to create healing energies with electronic light, through the medium of 3D animation with my music. I created for you a unique and special transmission of loving power and secret happiness for you to have and keep, and enjoy forever. The light that emits from these computer graphics, along with the movement and sound can be beneficial to the viewer, and holds a special message of love. I built in special feeling"codes" in order to promote this type of benefit for anyone who looks at the work.
1. How many people did it take to do the project? Two people. Some of the models, like the spaceship, the sportscar, the speedboat and the helicopter, were available free on the internet. The people models came from Poser. I did all the rest of the modeling and animation, design, and editing, myself with one other person. I composed and played all the music. 2. What software did you use? I used Infini-D, Bryce 4.0, Poser, Adobe Premiere, and Sound Forge. I also used two entire music studios to create and produce the music. 3. How long did the project take? The music was done in 1996 -1999. I finished the last animations in March of 2001. I started the project in early 1999. The project was often on the shelf for months at a time, so I would say that if you took all the time that I worked, and put it into a full-time schedule, this was probably about a 4 month project. In actuality I did it in our spare time over a period of about 2 years. The music however was put together over a much longer period of time, starting in about 1993, and finishing in 1997. The music was the inspiration for the CD-ROM project. I poured fun and joy and love and feeling into this project, and came up with something I feel is a form of a sound and music "pill" that when taken, will open something up in you that may never have been opened before, a doorway to "home". 4. What are the technicial specifications for the CD-ROM movies? Ten of the animation movies are in the .mov format. Two of the movies are in the .avi format. Each movie is 12fps, 360 x 240 frame size. I used the Sorenson video compression scheme. The audio tracks are 16 bit, 44 khz stereo, compressed with the Q-Design music codec. The total size of all the files combined on the CD-ROM disk, is 229 megs. Forever Love, Jorj Elprehzleinn
