HONORING THE GODDESS
In 1995 a seed project called Honoring the Goddess, sprung forth from Creative Wave, a multi-media and advertising company owned and operated by Jorj Elprehzleinn. At the time, Honoring the Goddess was intended to be a collection of video and photography and paintings of women, including interviews with women discussing what it is like to be a woman.

Since October 2003, when I revived that art project under the name "Goddess Art Project" and narrowed the focus to photography for display on this website, I could never have imagined how much more the project would open up to be.

One of the things I realized is that the entire Elprehzleinn corporation emerged from the powerful Goddess energy that the woman who participated in 1995 generated. I did not realize this until I began to experience more consciously, what is happening now in this second version of the art project.

Womens sexuality, money, and spirituality the way that women express it, are very big areas that when I talked to women and related to them about for this project, I discovered are areas that seem to be viewed quite differently in society and general, in contrast to what each woman individually has to express.

I discovered that many women still hold their views and feelings about money and sexuality and spirituality somewhat in a form of secrecy. I discovered about magic, and was reminded that women were tormented as witches for practicing perhaps the oldest religion in the world.

I discovered about the pressures that women endure that are placed upon their sexuality in exchange for money. You might think of the oldest profession in the world, but what I am talking about is happening much more prevalently.

Rather than saying that womens sexuality is being exploited, I would say simply that if you look at all the places that money is being exchanged for sexuality, you can discover many amazing things about the world we live in, and the woman in it.

Venus is the Goddess of Beauty and Love, of Home, and Money.

And Money.

There is balance to be made, healing to be had, a world, empowered, by women empowered, needed, this very moment.

Honoring the Goddess is a project that is dedicated to empowering woman to be.

To be what they are, to say what they have to say, to do what they want to do.

So let it be.
